Annie’s Angels Annie’s Angels is dedicated to helping local families struggling financially through a life threatening disease, illness or disability, connecting neighbor to neighbor, friend to friend and business to business in a caring fundraising network. Annie’s Angels offers grants to help cover the costs of various expenses related to illness or disability. They also help members of the community conduct fundraisers by acting as a fiscal sponsor handling bookkeeping duties, preparing deposits, and taking care of IRS reporting.
Dempsey Center The Dempsey Center is a leader in Quality of Life care for individuals and families impacted by cancer. Founded in Lewiston, Maine by actor Patrick Dempsey, the Dempsey Center provides a personalized, holistic and integrated approach to cancer prevention, education and support. All services are provided at no cost to anyone impacted by cancer regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances or where they receive their medical treatment.
Grateful Friends Grateful Friends provides support and unexpected joy to adults living with cancer or going through cancer treatment. Grateful friend offers comfort baskets and bill paying assistance for those in treatment, opportunities to “take a break” by providing resources for entertainment “escapes”, and thank you gifts for caregivers
The Greater Newburyport Ovarian Cancer Awareness (GNOCA) (GNOCA) is volunteer organization dedicated to increasing awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, raising funds for cancer research, and providing support services for women with ovarian cancer within the Greater Newburyport area.

Insight Meditation Center of Newburyport Insight Meditation Center offers a variety of practice opportunities including daily sittings, classes, retreats, and workshops. The facility includes a lending library with texts from various Buddhist traditions. The center offers opportunities for new students as well as those with a deeper ongoing commitment to practice.

Joe Andruzzi Foundation The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most. Grants are offered for non-medical costs such as rent/mortgages, utilities and other household expenses. Applications are accepted from heatlh care providers on behalf of those requesting support.
Lucy's Love Bus The mission of Lucy's Love Bus is to improve quality of life for children with cancer and life-threatening illness, to support their families, and to mobilize the next generation of cancer activists. The home of Lucy's Love Bus, The Sajni Center in Amesbury, offers programs and support groups for children with cancer or life-threatening illness and their immediate family members (siblings and parents/legal guardians). Individual funding is also available for children with cancer to receive individual integrative therapies at home, hospital, or hospice.
My Breast Cancer Support The mission of My Breast Cancer Support is to provide financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients throughout the Greater Seacoast area of New Hampshire and Southern Maine on their individual paths toward wellness. They offer a variety of assistance programs and services including grants to pay for groceries, utilities, rent/mortgage as well as family nights out. My Breast Cancer Support also helps patients and families cope by providing, new patient gift bags, books, and other support services such as mentoring for children of women with breast cancer and access to exercise/health programs and retreats.
Miss Pink The Miss Pink Organization supports breast cancer survivors and their families who have been diagnosed with, and are undergoing treatment through programs that promote emotional, physical and financial assistance so patients can focus on healing and time with family

Runway for Recovery Runway for Recovery redefines the experience of breast cancer for families by providing opportunities for connection, shared experience, and healing both through its annual Runway event and by providing a combination of financial support and wraparound services from counseling to academic resources. Runway directs vital funds to children who are affected by breast cancer to lessen the burden and obstacles of losing a caregiver to the disease.
Tough Warrior Princesses The Tough Warrior Princesses is a non-profit organization, based in Amesbury, MA, committed to raising funds for cancer research, educating and enlightening the public on the need to find a cure, and providing support to women and their families impacted by cancer. In addition to fundraising events, the Tough Warrior Princesses provide Survivor Baskets to offer comfort and support to women diagnosed with cancer. Virginia Thurston Healing Garden The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden Cancer Support Center, best known simply as “The Healing Garden” is a beautiful facility set in 8 acres of quiet woodlands and lovely gardens in Harvard, Massachusetts. Based in the philosophy that a holistic approach to health and wellness will afford a person with cancer the very best chance at great outcomes, they offer supportive complementary care that can be integrated with your conventional medical treatment.
Yoga and Cancer Support Services Yoga and Cancer provides free specialized yoga and support for patients, survivors and caregivers, as well as bereavement support in the New Hampshire seacoast and southern Maine area.
YWCA Greater Newburyport Encore Program Since 2009, the YWCA Greater Newburyport has offered a free, 12-week survivorship program for those who have had a cancer diagnosis at any point in their lives. The Encore program includes gentle land exercise, warm water pool exercise, ongoing peer support groups and featured guest speakers and programs. Following the 12-week survivorship program, Encore activities and services are available to all participants who have completed the initial 12-week program on an ongoing basis. Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats The Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Adventure Retreats provide adventure-based opportunities for women living after breast cancer. Participants challenge themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually finding understanding and support. They use challenge by choice activities such as ropes courses, kayaking, snowshoeing, hiking, expressive and healing arts to create a supportive, inclusive, invigorating environment. Women gain confidence, make new friends and discover their own place of sanctuary in the outdoors.
On Belay For children 8-18 who have a parent or sibling affected by cancer, On Belay, based in Newmarket, New Hampshire offers adventure based programs that build community and encourage participants to uncover their inner resilience. Participants have a chance to connect with other children facing similar challenges, while learning to support others, ask for help, and develop confidence.
First Descents First Descents provides life-changing outdoor adventures for young adults (ages 18-39) impacted by cancer. Programs ensure individualized care, medical attention and intimate experiences with fellow survivors. First Descents programs are offered free of cost to participants.
Healing Winds USA Healing Winds offers a sailing reprieve for those affected by cancer and all who love them. With a mission to create lasting memories for individuals with cancer, and their loved ones, through the therapeutic experience of sailing, they offer 3 hour sailing excursions out of Salem, Massachusetts at no cost. Ironstone Farm For the past six years, Ironstone Farm has offered free retreats to cancer survivors. Run by professional facilitators, the equine-assisted therapy programs use the powerful relationship between people and horses to build a renewed sense of self, increase confidence and overcome fears and insecurities. Retreats for cancer survivors are free to participants thanks to the generosity of the Behrakis Family Foundation and the Boston North Cancer Association. No horse experience is necessary.
Sailing Heals Sailing Heals offers patients and their caregivers a free spirit-lifting day at sea. They offer a variety of excursions from various locations in the greater Boston area at no cost to the participants.
Stowe Weekend of Hope The Stowe Weekend of Hope offers a healthy, inspirational retreat weekend for cancer survivors and their families. The annual forum offers education, enlightenment, inspiration and retreat in the restorative environment of Stowe. This enriching experience is unique in that it provides support for the survivor, the care giver, and family members.
Three Hearts Farm (3 HHH) Healing Hearts with Horses. Based in West Newbury, Massachusetts, 3-HHH offers free equine retreats to people with a cancer diagnosis. 3HHH creates an environment in which mindful exploration of the extraordinary bonds between animals and humans results in the benefits of mutual healing through care, partnership, and love.
